Medals and Medal Mounting

Medals

*Please note that the prices in the images may not reflect current costs of items.

Currently the Mercury Shop offers a number of Miniature Medals and Miniature Bars for purchase. Our collection includes Canadian Military Medals, UK Medals, US Medals, World War and Korean War Medals, as well as a number of non-military issued medals.

We do offer Full Size Medal Replicas and Full Size Bar Replicas and have a few in stock. Most replicas are special order items and are not kept in stock.

If we do not currently have the item you are looking for, please email us at mercuryshop@c-and-e-museum.org to inquire about ordering the medals you need. Please keep in mind that special order medals may take 2-4 weeks to receive in, this does not include the time required for mounting if it is required.

Undress Ribbons are not included with the mounting of medals. If you need an undress ribbon bar please contact the shop with details or let us know when you drop your medals off to us.

The undress ribbon bars provided by the Mercury Shop are not free and are put together with a solid backing to keep them stable. We are unable to re-use your existing bars and you would be purchasing a brand new bar by ordering through us. 

Medal Mounting

The Mercury Shop offers both full size and miniature medal mounting services. The cost of mounting is $14.00 per medal for both Full Size and Miniature Medals. 

If you are only having a bar added, the cost is $14.00 per bar to be added.

The Kuwait Liberation Medal costs $19.00 to mount.

Legion medals cost $15.00 to mount.

Miniature Medals mounting can be ordered online.

If you require full size medals to be mounted, or are having additional minis added to an existing mount, please drop them off in person at the Mercury Shop, or contact us if you would like to have them shipped to us.

Medals take up to 3-4 weeks to mount from when our mounter picks up, provided the Mercury Shop has all the items in stock. If you need them by a certain date; please either note that on your order or notify us by email. If you have dropped your medals off in person you will be contacted by phone to say when they are ready. Online orders will have a tracking number sent when the medals are being shipped.

Ordering Miniature Medals Online

When ordering Miniature Medals online; please follow these steps.

  1. Add all miniature medals you need to the cart.
  2. Use the arrow button to select any other items such as ribbons or bars.CD miniature medal page showing the selection bar item.
      * Please pay attention to miniature medals that have multiple ribbon options; you need to add both the medal itself and the ribbon ($0.00) to the cart.
        ** Some ribbons, such as the Nato ones, have a cost associated with them, this is because these ones come with the ribbon as well as the corresponding bar.

         3. Add Miniature Medal Mounting to your cart if you require mounting.

        4. When you are in your cart increase the number of Miniature Medal Mounting to reflect the number of medals you have. Do this for any bars that may have multiples ex. CD2
        Note that this order has 5 medals (we do not include the ribbons or the bars in the amount of medals when calculating medals to be mounted).

        5. Add any notes you think the Mercury Shop may need to know in the note section.

        6. Click update cart, as shown in the image above, to save changes and then click check-out. Fill out the relevant information and complete your purchase.
